The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Religious Affairs, Raina Forbin, launched a national conference on migration this Wednesday. The event, held in Pétion-Ville, brought together public institutions, international partners, experts, and civil society to lay the foundations for a new coherent and coordinated national migration policy. This meeting also serves as a preparatory step for Haiti’s participation in the International Migration Review Forum scheduled at the UN from May 5 to 8, 2026. The minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to promoting safe, orderly, and regular migration, in the service of regional and international stability.
