In a statement released on June 29, 2026, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, through the Integrated Enterprise Development Program, launched a call for expressions of interest to select micro-industrial park projects. Applications must be submitted by July 14, 2026, at the latest.

The MCI, in the note, says that this initiative aims to “support local or regional institutions and organizations carrying high-potential industrial projects, through technical and financial assistance.” The selected projects will be developed as part of a partnership between the government and the private sector, with the micro-parks managed privately while the state plays a facilitator role.Four sectors are identified as priorities: agro-industry, manufacturing activities (especially wood and textiles), services related to general and precision mechanics, as well as applied research in biotechnology. The selected projects will receive support including technical assistance for prefeasibility and feasibility studies, help finding financing, funding for equipment, industrial buildings, and infrastructure, as well as training for technicians and specialized staff. The program also includes support for acquiring patents and operating licenses, bringing products to market, and complying with production standards. Additionally, the statement mentions that the developed areas will be considered a ‘specific customs territory,’ allowing companies located there to benefit from the incentives provided by the Haitian Investment Code.

To be eligible, candidates must be private institutions or for-profit organizations that have been around for at least three years. Projects should show their ability to create high-value jobs, highlight the economic potential of their area, and encourage other businesses to set up nearby. Selection criteria also include the availability of land, the promoters’ experience in their field, the project’s profitability, consideration of environmental and social impacts, involvement of local producers, and women’s participation. The application files sent to the email: servicemicroparc@mci.gouv.ht, must include a business plan along with the company’s legal documents. The ministry reminds that “only the files selected after review will be able to benefit from the support provided under the Integrated Business Development Program.”
