Iran reaffirmed on Sunday that the U.S. naval blockade constituted “not only a violation of the ceasefire,” but also “an illegal and criminal act,” at a time when Donald Trump accused Tehran of breaking the truce in the Strait of Hormuz.
“By deliberately inflicting collective punishment on the Iranian population, it is equivalent to a war crime and a crime against humanity,” added the Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmaïl Baghaï, on X.
The American president also accused Tehran on Sunday of violating the ceasefire between the two countries by attacking ships in the strait.
