“U.S. forces intercepted unprovoked Iranian attacks and responded with defensive strikes as U.S. Navy missile destroyers transited the Strait of Hormuz into the Gulf on May 7,” wrote the U.S. Central Command for the Middle East on X, adding that these involved “missiles, drones, and small boats.”
The American army “neutralized the threats and targeted Iranian military installations responsible for the attacks against U.S. forces, including missile and drone launch sites, command and control centers, and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance bases,” it continued.
