Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé launched, this Thursday, a training program aimed at judicial authorities and public forces to strengthen electoral security and ensure credible elections. Placed under the aegis of the MJSP, this initiative initially covers Port-au-Prince, Petit-Goâve, and Croix-des-Bouquets before being deployed in the 146 communes of the country. More than three billion gourdes will be allocated to the financing of political parties. The Government also announces the creation of a specialized judicial unit against financial crimes in order to prevent money laundering during the electoral process.
