A brand new Haitian airline was launched on Friday, May 22, 2026. Zed Airlines officially takes its place in Haiti’s skies following its inauguration ceremony, which took place at Toussaint Louverture International Airport in the presence of the Minister of Justice and Public Security, Patrick Pelissier, the Minister of Commerce, James Monazard, the Minister of Public Works, Transport, and Communication, Joseph Almathe Pierre Louis, the Director General of the National Airport Authority (AAN), Joseph Bernard Mathias Schettini, diplomatic representatives, and the company’s executives.“Today is an opportunity for us to affirm our vision, our ambition, and our commitment before history,” said Davide Jean Charles, CEO of Zed Airlines, in the opening moments of his speech.

The CEO of Zed Airlines took the opportunity to recount the challenging journey that led to this historic moment. “We launched charter flights at a time when no one dared to take the risk. Every flight was a challenge. Every authorization, a battle. But every landing was a victory,” recalled Mr. Jean Charles, asserting that the company had understood that air transport was not just a service.
