In a statement, Doctors Without Borders (MSF) announced that it was forced to suspend its medical activities on Friday, June 19, due to an escalation of violence between armed gangs in the Cité Soleil area, starting the night of June 13 to 14, 2026. The organization reminded that it had already had to temporarily halt its services in May 2026 at its Cité Soleil hospital, located just a few kilometers from the Isaïe Jeanty maternity center.
