Appointed by the Council of Ministers on Thursday, July 2, the former deputy director of the Directorate of Research and Statistics replaces Gérald Remplais, who just spent ten months leading the customs institution. Walter Gabélus promises to continue aiming for optimal public revenue mobilization while making sure to preserve the competitiveness of the economy.
