Kenscoff.

Kenscoff. Thursday, July 9, 2026. To Robin, like in a hospice. Late in the afternoon, the intervention of the police and brigadiers managed to drive the bandits away. They left death and devastation in their wake. The authorities discovered eight bodies in a house not far from a tap-tap station. Three had been burned. The other five, the bodies of four men and one woman, are waiting to be recovered, the mayor of Kenscoff, Massillon Jean, told Le Nouvelliste.

The intervention allowed a woman held captive by bandits to be freed. “She was released and taken to the hospital,” the mayor continued, noting that the population dragged the body of a bandit shot by the police. The mayor of Kenscoff, on the scene while answering questions from Le Nouvelliste, emphasized that there was still work to be done in other parts of the Robin area.

For now, it is not known if there are any other deaths among the civilian population.
