The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Religious Affairs, Raina Forbin, and the Minister of Public Works, Joseph Almathe Pierre-Louis, laid the first stone for the future Diplomatic Lounge of Cap-Haïtien International Airport on Saturday, July 18, 2026.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Religious Affairs, Raina Forbin, and the Minister of Public Works, Joseph Almathe Pierre-Louis, laid the cornerstone of the future Diplomatic Lounge at Cap-Haïtien International Airport on Saturday, July 18, 2026. The ceremony also marked the transfer of management of the VIP Lounge from the National Airport Authority (AAN) to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to ensure the continuity of protocol services during the work. Authorities said this project is part of the airport modernization program and aims to strengthen infrastructure, the quality of diplomatic reception, as well as the economic and tourist development of the Greater North.
