The Dominican delegation was led by the Ministry of Energy and Mines, through its Vice Ministry of Hydrocarbons, which had an institutional booth to present projects focused on hydrocarbon exploration and production, reports the newspaper Dominican Today in its August 21, 2026 edition.The event also allowed the Dominican government to promote investment opportunities and exchange information with specialized companies, government institutions, investors, and energy sector professionals.
The ‘IMAGE 2026’ congress took place from August 17 to 20 at the George R. Brown Convention Center and brought together around 7,800 participants from the geosciences and energy sectors.
Organized by the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG), the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), and the Society for Sedimentary Geology (SEPM), the event featured about 1,100 presentations, as well as roundtables, workshops, and hands-on courses.
