Customs revenues recorded at the Cap-Haïtien office continued to grow during June 2026. According to available figures, the administration collected 1,701,901,295.70 gourdes during this period, a level higher than that observed the previous month and which confirms a gradual recovery in tax collections at the main commercial port in the north of the country.
Since the beginning of the year, the local management, led by Rotchild Alexandre since January 2026, has been overseeing an administration whose financial performance continues to be closely monitored due to the strategic importance of the region in national trade.
The statistics compiled over the past few months show a mixed picture, but overall a rising trend. In March 2026, the Cap-Haïtien customs generated 1.976 billion gourdes. In April, revenue slowed to 1.027 billion, before picking up again to 1.319 billion gourdes in May.
With the results recorded in June, the total revenue over the last four months now exceeds 6 billion gourdes, an indicator that reflects the steady flow of commercial activity through this port facility.In an economic environment marked by growing public financing needs, customs administrations remain among the main drivers of internal revenue mobilization. Data observed in Cap-Haïtien show that the northern trade corridor continues to provide a significant contribution to the national budget framework.
