The Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) launched the voter registration process in Jacmel on Monday, July 20, 2026. CEP President Jacques Desrosiers reiterated that only registered citizens will be able to participate in the upcoming elections and that they must vote at the polling station where they were registered. Voters must present their National Identification Card. The process will be gradually extended to other municipalities in the Southeast Department throughout the week.
