Alix Didier Fils-Aimé is in the South. Officially from August 13 to 15, 2026. According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, the Prime Minister’s tour “is part of the government’s desire to strengthen the State’s presence in the territories and to place security, stability, education, and access to essential services at the heart of public action.”
For the first event, the Prime Minister took part in Aquin in the inauguration ceremony of the Baptiste School of Mélinette and the National School of Marre-à-Coiffe, before heading to Camp-Perrin.In Les Cayes, Alix Didier Fils-Aimé met on Thursday, August 13, with His Eminence Cardinal Chibly Langlois, Bishop of Les Cayes. “This meeting was an opportunity to discuss several topics of national interest, particularly the essential role that the Catholic Church plays, alongside other religious denominations, in social life and in seeking sustainable solutions to the challenges facing the country,” a statement explained.
“Through this initiative, the head of government intends to reaffirm the importance of dialogue with religious leaders and the various active forces of the nation, whose contribution remains valuable in promoting peace, social cohesion, coexistence, and solidarity among the sons and daughters of Haiti,” the statement continued.“In a context marked by many challenges, the Prime Minister also called for unity, responsibility, and collective commitment. He invited all Haitians, wherever they are, to join forces to bring about a new national narrative, based on hope, trust, dignity, and the ability of the Haitian people to build a better future,” reports the Prime Minister’s office.
This Friday, August 14, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé will inaugurate the EFACAP in Mersan (Camp-Perrin) and will participate, in Les Cayes, in a meeting with actors and officials from the education sector, organized by the MENFP.
“This tour will also be an opportunity to engage with local communities in the Palmes region and representatives from the private sector in the Greater South about challenges related to security, stability, and territorial development,” notes the Prime Minister’s office.On Saturday, after a mass at the Cayes Cathedral, the Prime Minister will head to Petit-Goâve to carry out the inauguration of the CEST.
“By being close to the people, the Government reaffirms a key belief: the State must be present, public authority must be restored, and every citizen should be able to look to the future with confidence,” says a statement from the Prime Minister’s office.
