The MdE launches the Support Program for Citizen Environmental Initiatives

The Ministry of the Environment officially launched this Wednesday the Citizens’ Environmental Initiatives Support Program (PAIEC) and Phase 8 of the Microfinance Program of the Global Environment Facility (GEF), during a ceremony at the Karibe Hotel under the high patronage of Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé.

The Ministry of the Environment officially launched, this Wednesday, the Citizen Environmental Initiatives Support Program (PAIEC) and Phase 8 of the Microfinancing Program of the Global Environment Facility (GEF), during a ceremony at the Karibe Hotel under the high patronage of Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé. These two initiatives aim to mobilize communities around environmental issues, support local projects to improve living conditions, create green jobs, and strengthen climate resilience. The Ministry intends to promote a participatory approach to build a cleaner and more sustainable Haiti.
