The Odette Roy Fombrun Foundation for Education (FORF) awarded the winners of the first edition of its National Youth Writing Competition on July 30 at the Royal Oasis Hotel in Port-au-Prince. The competition was held around the theme ‘If I could talk to Odette Roy Fombrun…’.
The Odette Roy Fombrun Foundation for Education (FORF) awarded, on July 30th at the Royal Oasis Hotel in Port-au-Prince, the winners of the first edition of its National Youth Writing Contest organized around the theme “If I Could Talk to Odette Roy Fombrun…”. Forty-six young people aged 16 to 25, from nearly 28 schools and universities across ten municipalities in the West and North departments, took part in this initiative aimed at promoting reading, writing, and civic reflection. The top three prizes were awarded to Blanka Pleine (1st prize), Lubequa Bebyqua (2nd prize), and Aledjina Compère (3rd prize), while ten finalists were also honored during the ceremony. The event also marked the launch of the foundation’s 5th Edition of the School Excellence Sponsorship Program (PPES).which calls on businesses, institutions, members of the diaspora, and citizens to support the academic success of young Haitians.
