Under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), the European Union (EU), and the General Directorate of Taxes (DGI), the session of the “Management Dialogue of the Western Department” was held from Monday, May 4 to Friday, May 8, 2026, at the Montana Hotel.

On this occasion, the Minister of Economy and Finance, Serge Gabriel Collin, was represented at the opening ceremony by the Director General of the MEF, Jean Bouco Jean-Jacques, and the European Union by Ambassador Hélène Roos. In doing so, the DGI thus renewed an initiative that it intended to carry out on an annual basis, unfortunately faded since 2024, after its holding in the greater North. The management dialogue session of the Western department was a resounding success, according to the various participants. At the level of the DGI, all entities responded to the call. The Reform Monitoring and Steering Unit (USRP) and the Communication and Public Relations Unit (UCRP), along with other structures of the institution, joined forces to meet this great challenge, with the unwavering support of the European Union and Expertise France. The words of the Director General of the DGI, Chesnel François, both at the opening ceremony and at the closing ceremony reflect the significance and symbolism of the management dialogue. “The management dialogue is much more than an administrative exercise. It is, by essence, a structured process of exchanges, consultation, and decision-making between budgetary managers and operational services. It allows for bringing the realities on the ground closer to strategic orientations, and above all, for building responses adapted to the daily challenges faced by our structures in the exercise of their respective responsibilities,” said Mr. François, who took the opportunity to share with the audience the hopes he places in this dialogue.
