The Haitian writer Jean Josué Eristache, in his book My Pen on a Journey, takes us on a poetic journey where each word becomes a step that leads us toward a destination.

Jean Josué Eristache invites us, through his book, to a scriptural odyssey of the pen where each word becomes a pilgrim and each verse, a path toward the ineffable. From the intimacy of emotions to the wounds of a people, from burning love to invisible struggles, this book explores the multiple faces of existence.Through rich, vivid, and deeply sincere writing, Jean Josué Eristache invites us to travel to the heart of oneself, to the heart of the world, and to the heart of Haiti, between pain and dignity. However, beyond chaos and silence, a light persists. This book breathes a wind of hope.Written in verse, this book aims to be currents of ink in the drainable rivers. « Under the Ink Rivers Even lower, in the deep valleys Where the slow and heavy rivers wind Not of water, but of currents of ink Where ancient stories roar Sorrows, loves… », a small excerpt from the book by Jean Josué Eristache.

The author hopes to break down the walls of segregation, of bias… all kinds and all forms of walls that block the emergence and human emancipation, through his work. Traveling is a wonderful adventure. It is not without reason that Jean Josué Eristache invites readers to take flight in the company of his beautiful, elegant, and intelligent pen.

My Pen on a Journey, written by Jean Josué Eristache, will be available at the Livres en Folie Fair, this Thursday, June 4, 2026, at the El Rancho Convention Center.
